UNDP Meeting

On [ ], Mr. William Tsuma, is the Senior Adviser and Programs Coordinator with United Nations Development Partnerships (UNDP), accompanied by Mr. Adewole Oke met the innovation team in Ekiti State to discuss how UNDP can partner/support the state's innovation and development through digital transformation. To welcome him was Mr Seun Fakuade, the Special Adviser to the Ekiti State Governor on Governance, Reforms and Innovation.

On Day 1, the team welcomed Mr. Williams and Mr. Adewole to the state with an extensive brief presented by Mr. Fakuade. The focal point during this presentation was the ongoing plan to build a unique market for Ekiti as the knowledge hub of the country.

Day 2, Mr. Williams shared UNDP's five main pillars, which includes infrastructure, government, people, business, and regulation. The discussion focused on how these pillars can be applied to support innovation and digital transformation.

The Governor expressed his openness to peer learning and the need to think outside the box to drive progress in Ekiti State. He emphasized the importance of having quality thoughts, stating that `You are as good as the quality of your thoughts.`



Overall, the meeting was a productive discussion on how UNDP can support Ekiti State's innovation and digital transformation efforts. The visit to the Governor of Ekiti State provided an opportunity to reinforce the state's commitment to innovation and development, and the importance of having a supportive ecosystem to drive progress.
